McDSP Announces Audio Units Support McDSP will show AU versions of some of its product line at the 2010 Winter NAMM Show Booth #6405 in Anaheim, California. McDSP plans to ship new updated versions of its entire product line by May of 2010 with TDM, RTAS and AU support. McDSP will continue to offer two main product lines – HD and Native. The HD versions of McDSP plug-ins will support TDM, RTAS, and AU formats. The Native versions of McDSP plug-ins will support RTAS and AU formats.
Once AU versions are shipping, existing customers will be able to upgrade each McDSP plug-in (HD or Native) to include AU support. Further upgrade pricing and options will be provided in May of 2010. 'McDSP plug-ins require an iLok USB Smart Key for authorization.'
So, if they were waiting for V2 iLok that means i wouldn't be able to use the existing iLok i own? If the demos work on existing iLok then shouldn't the full version? Oh well, the AU versions are intel only. No PPC support except for pro tools versions. So it won't work out for me anyway.

The intel machine i have is my laptop. Not gonna stick an iLok in that.

I don't own a ridiculous amount of stuff but the more I go on I'm feeling like if I can't get there with the combo of plugs I have (most of the PSP plus URS CS Pro plus all the FMR outboard compressors plus a bunch of other more 'effect-y' plugs) then the problem ain't with the software! Would like Altiverb though More and more I'm gravitating to PSP as my 'weapon of choice'. The sQuad EQs are awesome.
And, interestingly, they've just binned iLok as a copy-protection system on the grounds that it wasn't worth the licensing fees.
