I bought The Sims 3 on steam and installed it in Spanish since I'm from Mexico, played for a few days and everything was fine. Today I launch The game and tells me that there's a new patch, proceed to install it and after that, The language of The game changed to English! Now I can't play with The previous saved game that I had.
If you need to change your language for The Sims 3, please follow these steps: (These steps are recommend for players who are familiar with their Mac OSX.). Open the Finder and select the Applications folder.
Select The Sims 3 app. Right-click and select Show Package Contents. Note: A new Finder window will appear. Navigate to the location Contents/Resources/Preferences and locate the file named updatealways.reg. Right-click and open this file in TextEdit.
Based on the list below, change the ' Locale' and ' Country' values to the preferred language. Example: To set the language, change English US ' en-US' to Finnish Finland ' fi-FI'. Save and close the file.
